The Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus is a collection of administrative and regulatory rules and laws, defining the scope of authority and the manner of carrying out the functions of government administration. The Code is intended to ensure the following: the transparency of the execution of the authorities' duties in relation to the public; compliance by the public authorities with the laws and regulations; the regularity of the execution of the authorities' duties in relation to the public; and the maintenance of an efficient system of the administration of justice.
In addition, the Code provides for the punishment of those who violate its provisions.
